I’m interested in entering, but I’ve already been accepted as a maker this year and some of the prizes are being able to enter the Maker Faire, but it sounds like the judging happens at the faire. That’s a bit confusing.
Also, there is a rule “The Project must not have been submitted in any other competition, promotion or contest or won previous awards and must not have been previously published or marketed.”
My project for this year is the same as last year (but this time with a few props) which was mentioned in a few articles because of its presence at Maker Faire 2011. Is that violating the “…must not have been previously published” rule?
    Thanks!

hi Erik – thanks for reading and applying to Maker Faire. The Road to Maker Faire Challenge application is quick, easy – probably only 5-10 minutes since you already have a project in order. I don’t think a blog or website mentioning the project constitutes the “published” rule – but I will run it by the team. Feel free to fill out the application, because I think there’s no harm done. Either way, I look forward to seeing your project at Maker Faire Bay Area next month! Have a great day.
