The Replicator

I’m sure you’ll see more than a few MakerBot Replicators when you come to the Bay Area Maker Faire this weekend. You’ll kick yourself later if you don’t check out their Robot Petting Zoo.

If you make 3D Printers and will be at the Maker Faire, feel free to drop me a line at swallace@oreilly.com.

Collect them all!

This isn’t what I expected to see when I clicked this link. I was thinking trading cards that contained NFC chips that held recipes or designs for your 3D printer to use.

Love my Replicator, now that it’s tuned a bit.

    Jordan, that’s a cool idea.

That’s what I thought too. It’d be really cool to buy a pack of trading cards, scan the code in whatever manner, and receive a link to the design for the item on the card.

This would be pretty awesome with things like Pokemon cards. 3D printable figurines would be the new 1st Edition/foil/shiny cards.
