Cool Modular Origami Lampshade Method

Made from recycled foil-lined cardboard beverage packets by designer Ed Chew:

This recycled lamp is made up of empty Tetra Brik boxes which are cut into strips. The strips are then folded to form hexagon and pentagon modules. No glue or any kind of adhesive is required to hold the modules together, a technique which was inspired by Kusudama origami, particularly the work of Tomoko Fuse.

He’s figured out how to fold and interlink them such that only the silvery foil-lined side is visible. [via Yanko Design]
