If you find yourself on the streets of Hildesheim Germany you might be pleasantly surprised to be suddenly pitted against another pedestrian in a game of pong.
A student at the HAWK Interaction Design Program discovered the touchpad-based game affixed to lamp posts. While waiting to cross the street, the user can play a quick game of Pong with someone across the street while waiting for the light to turn green. Then you can greet your opponent with a smile or a high five as you cross each other
EDIT: This video has been revealed to be altered in post-production with motion-capture tools. It is not a real product but simply a concept video. Apologies for any confusion.

Sorry but this is clearly and obviously fake. Not only would these things not last a week in the wild but it’s way too elaborate or expensive for any German city ever to put up. It’s done via motion tracking software on the original video image and you can clearly see the original (albeit touch control) pedestrian sensor once he crosses the street and the camera passes the post on the other side.
Mea Culpa. The video has in fact been altered in post-production and confirmed by the original makers of the video. Good catch.
Markus already figured it out, but this is indeed a fake video.

And what good would the game be if your ball can bounce off the wall behind the paddle and you still are in the game, as the video shows?
