MAKE at CES 2013: Overall Impressions So Far

YouTube player

MAKE_Conference_Badge-CESI feel so lucky that I get to roam around the floor of 2013 CES for MAKE! I’ve been a technology geek since such a young age and I remember reading all about the cool new gadgets that would be announced around this time. It’s my first time at the show and it’s definitely the largest of its kind that I’ve ever attended. I have to be honest, among the thousands of exhibitors, it’s been tough to find the stories that would fit in here at MAKE. Thankfully, with a little perseverance, I’ve been able to track a few down.

Not everything at CES happens during show hours either. The folks at MakerBot were kind enough to invite me to their party at the Pinball Hall of Fame, which is a bit off the beaten path (i.e. not near The Strip). Inside, there are tons of classic and new pinball machines and arcade games. I dropped more than my fair share of quarters in the Jurassic Park pinball machine and saw a few unique old arcade machines.

If you’re interested in my overall impression of CES and what I’ve been up to here, check out the video above, which I made for my personal YouTube channel.
