Control Your Robot Over the Web with Pinoccio

The Pinoccio project is an Internet of Things toolkit that recently passed their fundraising goal on Indiegogo (with 8 days left). They’ve posted an interesting project: a Web Rover robot that you can control from thousands of miles away over the web.

Plans and code are available on their website, and there’s a video of the Web Rover in action on Vimeo.

I was excited to see this project on display at the Las Vegas mini Maker Faire. The web-controlled robot is a great demo, and I think it shows the flexibility of the platform. By abstracting the communication between units, these tiny boards will save a ton of development time and make web-enabled projects approachable for beginners. Well done, Eric and Sally.

    Awesome, thanks Derek! :)
