OK, while I can’t verify it was their “first” Maker Faire, this is the story of Paula Chang and Mike Cheung who were first introduced to each other at Maker Faire Bay Area, and now run Tinkering Monkey, a woodshop and online business based in their garage and loft in Oakland, Calif. First reported at Apex Express, which chronicles “the voices and stories of Asians and Pacific Islanders from all corners of our community,” it’s also a great maker love story.

    Hey! We’re married 4 years now! Tinkering Monkey is now in Berkeley, and we’ve grown to a team of 5! The Maker Faire we met at was indeed our first one (both of us). This year marks our 10 year Maker Faire anniversary….woo!
