Hexy’s Back in the Maker Shed

MKAB1-2

After selling out completely over the Holidays, a new shipment of Arcbotics’ Hexy the Hexipod has arrived in the Maker Shed. Hexy is a completely open source, Arduino compatible hexipod robot. Hexy comes in kit form with well written documentation and tutorials which make learning complex robotics straightforward and fun! Each kit features 20 total servos, laser-cut acrylic parts, an ultrasonic distance sensor, and an Arduino based microcontroller.

Included demo programs enable Hexy to walk, play, or dance almost as soon as you’re done putting it together. After you master the demo concepts, you can create and add new moves by editing simple (and easily share-able) text files.

I am the Evangelist for the Maker Shed. It seems that there is no limit to my making interests. I'm a tinkerer at heart and have a passion for solving problems and figuring out how things work. When not working for Make I can be found falling off my unicycle, running in adverse weather conditions, skiing down the nearest hill, restoring vintage motorcycles, or working on my car.
