Most people have to keep track of at least a few keys. The easiest way to do that is to just keep them all on one key ring. But the more keys you have, the more they fan out on the ring. If you have a lot of keys, then your key ring can get pretty bulky and impractical to carry in your pocket. Here is an alternate design for holding and organizing your keys that is a little more efficient.

The design of this key holder is very similar in construction to a Swiss Army Knife. The keys are arranged on two parallel bars. Each key can be rotated into the handle for compact storage and rotated back out for use.

Interesting, but don’t worry about the phone ringing. If yo draw more than 20 mA (probably as low as 15 mA) the Central Office (CO) sees your phone as off-hook and anyone calling will get a busy signal. After a while, no more than a few minutes, the CO will switch in a howler (makes a loud, obnoxious noise so you will remember to hang up) and I am not sure if DC will remain on when that happens. This varies with your phone company so test it to see if this idea will be useful. You might get a good charge, or just a few minutes.

Cool DIY, be careful to drill without your hand in the path of the drill bit!
