Maker Faire: One Maker’s Perspective

There’s something magical about going to your first Maker Faire. It’s exciting, wonderful and, often times, a little overwhelming. This was Colin Ho’s (OpenROV roboticist, pictured above) first Bay Area Maker Faire. For the past six months, he’s been wearing a DIY lifelogging device around his neck – a hacked GoPro that takes a photo every minute. Details of the project are here.

Colin put together this cool timelapse video of Maker Faire from his perspective (mostly spent at the OpenROV booth). From setup to teardown. This is what Maker Faire looked like from his perspective.

Hey you’re lucky. We tried to get into the Maker Faire but there was way too people there with no parking. We were very disappointed. Your video at least showed us a very fast picture of what it was like. Very cool!
