Jewelry collective AKA Jewelry creates striking jewelry from unusual materials, like this silver bracelet featuring vials of machine oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and gasoline.

If you happen to be around NYC this weekend you can see more of AKA Jewelry’s work at the Bushwick Open Studios!

  1. J. McGirr says:

Hmm…I wonder if it would be legal posses such caustic and hazardous chemicals walking down the street in New York?

    1. Ed says:

Why not? Every car that passes you is loaded with this stuff.

      1. Not quite the same. This bracelet makes it easy to combine the liquids together to make, oh, whatever you might want. The liquids in a car OTOH are inaccessible

Nonetheless, the bracelet is cool. I can also think of materials other than brake fluid and the like that shouldn’t cause trouble at airports

  2. You’d probably be o.k. walking down the street, but I wouldn’t try getting through the airport with it.

    It IS pretty awesome,though.
