How to Make a MF.MFKC2013.004Makers are in demand! There are people organizing Maker Faires around the world, and right now, they want YOU!

There are still 55 fairs yet to come in 2013. In fact, Fall is the most active season for fairs. But now, of course, we’ve got fairs organizing in the southern hemisphere, so it won’t be long until every time of year is fair season.

Review below for your continent (!) — and be sure to periodically check our Find a Faire page, as we’re updating the list weekly.

Note that if you are in the Bay Area, this Wednesday there is a Kick-Off and Town Hall for October’s East Bay Mini Maker Faire.

The Road to Maker Faire Challenge will award $2,500 to one winner to bring his or her project to World Maker Faire on Sep. 21 & 22, 2013 in New York. Use the funding for materials, transport, or anything else you might need to get to Maker Faire. Applications are due by 11:59pm PT on August 5, 2013.

Sabrina Merlo

Sabrina is the Maker Faire Program Director. She works on stage content for the flagship fairs (Bay Area & New York), and also runs Maker Faire’s licensing program for locally and independently produced “Mini” Maker Faires. She also co-creates the East Bay Mini Maker Faire in her town, Oakland, CA.
