This is our 3D printer shoot-out weekend at MAKE HQ, and we’re putting all the newest machines to the test in our labs. But we thought we’d give you a little preview. The machines in this gallery are not everything we’re testing this weekend, but the varieties of designs and the amazing ingenuity that have gone into them are amazing. You can tell there’s tremendous excitement in this field right now, and with it some very heavy competition. We won’t have the results of our testing ready for you until this Fall, but until them, check out the machines in the gallery above, and start salivating over your next hardware purchase!

Awesome pics. Haven’t seen that many before.
And that’s not even all the ones available. Amazing, isn’t it?
i can’t see you having many kind words for the CubeX from what i’ve read about it
Who knows? Well, everyone will, once our Special Issue comes out!
Hmm, I think I won’t get into the business of building and selling 3D printers.
I am very much looking forward to reading the review, though.
Pictures are nice, but words are pretty good too. What about a list of the manufacturers and names of the models. A URL to the sites would be nice too. Thanks.
I totally understand, but this is just intended as a tease! The full list of tested machines and the results will be in our Fall special issue, so stay tuned!
tssh, teaser smeaser;)
problem is, in the netherlands, I needed to wait a long time for the last Make magazine on 3D printers to be available (I dont like digital reading mags > hardcopy<3) .
or maybe i just did something wrong. Doesnt matter, really liked everything in it!
Whats the approximate release date for the Fall issue?
