Trondheim, Norway’s technology hub, will host its first mini Maker Faire this Saturday, Aug. 17. The Pstereo Mini Maker Faire will be held within a city festival. Microprocessor maker Atmel is a sponsor of the event. Some of the makers on tap include:

Kongsberg Seatex

They will be holding a contest to build the fastest amateur boat.

Norwegian Creations

The network of Norwegian makers will host the nerdy derby, an updated version of the pinewood derby.

And Atmel will have several projects on display including hexbots and an Arduino workshop.
