Maker Faire Comes to Norway

Trondheim, Norway’s technology hub, will host its first mini Maker Faire this Saturday, Aug. 17. The Pstereo Mini Maker Faire will be held within a city festival. There will be about 10 makers for this first-time fair with more than 500 attendees expected.1069125_513423818727022_17292410_n

Microprocessor maker Atmel is a sponsor of the event. Some of the makers on tap include:

Kongsberg Seatex

They will be holding a contest to build the fastest amateur boat.

Norwegian Creations

The network of Norwegian makers will host the nerdy derby, an updated version of the pinewood derby.

And Atmel will have several projects on display including hexbots and an Arduino workshop.
