Organizers of the Aug. 24 Dover (N.H.) Mini Maker Faire were hoping to attract 30 makers to the first-time event. So they were thrilled when they got more than 50 makers from throughout New England. The event will be held at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire from 10am-4pm. The variety of makers and exhibits ranges far and wide. Here’s a sampling of what’s on to tap.
Roe Cole III will be showing off his Lotus-looking kit car, a vehicle that incorporates many custom upgrades designed and fabricated in-house. Roe hopes the fair shows kids and attendees that anything is possible with a little confidence and persistence.
Tribey is a three-wheeled transport that’s a cross between a BMX bike and a snowboard. Have a look at it in action:
The University of New Hampshire’s Luna Cats robotics team will be showing off their LunaBot robot.
Nathan will be showing off his metal sculptures. Nathan is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, public artist/metal sculptor, animator, and the current artist-in-residence at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. His metal sculptures can be found throughout New England, in backyards, public spaces, private galleries and in schools.
