Happening Halloween Hangout Today at 5pm PT

Today at 5pm PT we host our third Maker Camp Halloween hangout on air. This week we’re going to explore scary masks and creepy makeup.

• Dax Tran-Caffee, maker of amazing cardboard creations, shows us how he creates scary masks and headdresses with this readily available material.
• Klaire De Lys, YouTube makeup superstar, specializes in hardcore gore when the occasion calls for it.
• Joseph DeRose, Bay Area young maker extraordinaire, takes us into the eight-month process of creating his Varia Samus costume, using vacuum molding techniques and styrene plastic.
• Finally, we visit the Stan Winston School for Character Arts in L.A., design home of the most frightening creatures, including Jurassic Park. Don’t miss it!
