Monitor the UV Index With UVindeSir

I love the idea of modular sensors that can be plugged into a smartphone. Case in point, the UVindeSir, a tiny UV sensor that can be plugged into a smartphone’s headphone jack and returns the UV Index, temperature, as well as a SPF suggestion, and will remind you to put on some sun block.

The project is being crowdfunded in a Indiegogo campaign and is supported by UFactory, an OSHW startup in Shenzhen, China.
