Santiago Mini Maker Faire 2013—Day One

IMG_10464,100 attended the first day of the Santiago Mini Maker Faire—more than triple the 2012 Saturday attendance!   A fantastic array of local Chilean and neighbor South American makers provided workshops, demos, conversation, ideas, hands-on action and exchange.

Gorgeous production design with real circus tents, blackboard signage that attendees could contribute to, and zero plastic (even the Maker Faire pennant flags were fabric and sewn!) created a magical atmosphere equal to the makers’ offering.

All the national Chilean networks reported live from the fair, so organizers are expecting even more visitors on Sunday.

STGO Makerspace (the fair’s organizers) have already posted a Day One video that includes some of the production build:

Looking forward to Day Two!
