Dale Dougherty preparing to open the gates.

The energy on the grounds at Maker Faire Bay Area was through the roof this morning as Dale Dougherty, the founder and CEO of Make:, opened the gates to the 9th annual Maker Faire Bay Area.

Welders, knitters, roboticists, musicians, and people who defy definition are here as both attendees and makers — showing off their skills, and learning new ones.

If you are in the Bay Area, come check it out! The Faire is open until 8pm tonight, and again from 10am to 6pm Sunday. Can’t make it? Don’t fret — we will be bringing you many more stories from the epicenter of awesome. Keep your eyes on the live video feed for highlights of some of the amazing stuff going on.

Community Editor for Make:
I get ridiculously excited seeing people make things. I just want to revel in the creativity of the masses! My favorite thing in the world is sharing the hard work of a maker.

I’d always love to hear about what you’re making, so send me an email any time at [email protected]
