Nothing say’s ‘bad-ass’ more than wielding a shark-shaped rocket launcher loaded with a ‘Super Mega Death Rocket’. Actually, it’s a fictitious weapon belonging to the League of Legends video game character Jinx, who also sports a massive Gatling gun as well. The over-the-top weapon became a highly detailed prop thanks to the talented Harrison Krix of Volpin Props fame.

Harrison carved the 43-inch long ‘Fishbones’ out of lightweight Styrofoam and plastic pieces for the weapons armor plating, which weighs in at just 10Lbs. The jaws function much like a puppet with the user controlling the opening and closing of the spring-loaded hinged mouth.

Flashing LEDs are housed in the weapons eyes and mouth rounding out the incredible aesthetics only a shark-shaped rocket launcher could have. Volipin Props is famous for making videogame and cartoon props, including replicas for Futurama’s Planet Express ship, Halo 4’s Needler Guided Munitions Launcher and the Gravity Gun from Half Life 2 just to name a few. The level of detail put into the props is simply astounding and it will be interesting to see what they come out with next.

I love your work. It would mean the world if you checked out my cartoons and to give your opinion? Thank you so much

Wow. It looks like when I get around to building fishbones I’ll have to aim a bit higher so mine doesn’t look completely terrible in comparison. Fantastic job.
