3D-pen-dress-1

Dresses usually start out as drawings, but this incredible dress made by Hong Kong fashion designers SHIGO actually ended up as one. Made using a 3D printing pen, SHIGO used the pen to trace over a lace seashell pattern printed on a fabric template to print this fantastic dress by hand.

This dress is the result of a collaboration between SHIGO and makers of the first 3D printing pen 3Doodler, which aimed to show new applications for thier new 3D printing product. 3D printing has generally been regarded as an automated process, but this project really demonstrates how effective it can be as a handmade process and opens to the door to so many potentially crafty 3D printed projects!
