DIY Mini Pallet Coaster

Need a last minute handmade gift idea? Try these adorable mini pallet coasters made from craft sticks. I made these last year for my family and they were a huge hit.

The Sorry Girls have a great video tutorial explaining the process.

If you have access to power tools, like a miter saw, you could churn these out really fast. Bundle up the number of sticks needed for one coaster with some green painters tape (it should look like one solid flat block), and cut all the ends in one go. Also, instead of a silver marker, you can use a soldering iron or wood burning tool to burn the little nail holes as a finishing touch.

The idea was so inspiring, I couldn’t stop at a few… I made 14. I used a date stamp that we had on hand to add the year, and I’ll let the kids add various other stamps to give them markings.

    Thanks for the idea.
