How-To: Embroidered Family Hands Art

This is a really simple and sweet way to capture a moment in time. It’s like a modern take on a growth chart for your family, preserved through embroidery thread and fabric. The one seen above was created by Christina W. aka Detroit Mommy on Flickr.

Christina’s image made it’s way around Pinterest and inspired others to try their hand at it too. Katella & Vine takes you through all the steps to create your own unique family hand art.

Try making this even more sentimental by stitching on a piece of fabric that your family would recognize. Perhaps an old (clean) tea towel, worn out bed sheets or old t-shirt. Make one for each member of the family as a keep sake for when they leave home.
