After months of hard work testing machines, poring over data, and writing reviews, the time is almost here for the release of Make:‘s 2015 Digital Fabrication issue! We want to celebrate with you — join us on Tuesday, November 3rd, from 6-8pm at the Make: Labs to meet a few of our testers and the Make: editors who made this issue happen.

Mike Senese, Make:‘s executive editor, will be moderating a panel with Brook Drumm from Printrbot, Dan Shapiro from Glowforge, and myself, Matt Stultz, Make:‘s digital fabrication editor and organizer of this year’s shootout. We will discuss some of the exciting new tools that Printrbot and Glowforge have recently released, along with how we see these and other fabrication tools that are influencing how Makers make.

After the panel, we will have demos of some of the machines we tested this year, along with examples of the models we used for testing. This year, we are not just featuring 3D printers, but also have included CNC mills, laser cutters, and vinyl cutters — a full range of fabrication tools to demo during the event. And don’t forget to grab one of the first hot-off-the press copies of this year’s issue!

Not in San Francisco? Don’t worry, we will be broadcasting the event via Google Hangouts for those who can’t make it!

If you can join us, please pre-register with us at Eventbrite.

I’m bummed I can’t make it in person because I already have a scheduled TechShop class that ends in San Jose at 5pm. If that isn’t a “maker” reason for not attending, I don’t know what is :)
I’m looking forward to the new issue!
