Correction for page 143
In Volume 23's "Learning Electronics" column "Zap-a-Mole," the descriptions for the 4078 chip's pins 8 and 13 were mistakenly reversed in Figure F. Pin 13 is the NOR output and pin 8 is unused. The corrected detail is included here; to download the full diagram PDF, click on the image on this article page. This correction is also in the MAKE Digital Edition.

I made this whole thing, but when I start to play, when one of the LEDs is lit, it is controlled by another button. And sometimes the button just adds one to the score. The 4078 chip is properly grounded through resistors, so what is wrong?Posted by jcoster on March 03, 2011 at 18:15:21 Pacific Time
