Which valve?

Hi Jon,
I'm trying to make this but am struggling to find a suitable one-way valve. Are you using a 1/2in valve or something larger with an adapter? (such as this?

Also it's not clear if the valve is screw-one or push-on. I could only find one push-on that looked plausible?
