I go through the steps of machining a barbell style piece from scratch. This project includes many operations typical of small scale machining on a lathe including facing, turning down, drilling, tapping, and polishing.”Link.

Now might be a good time to mention this wired article. http://wired.com/wired/archive/14.06/chemistry.html

The company (United Nuclear) in the summary was raided by the federal government and the owners are facing huge fine and prison time, specifically for selling the products mentioned in the article.

There’s a strong sentiment in the US government that nobody does home chemistry and the only people buying this stuff are meth makers and terrorists.

As we makers know, this is a horrible situation.

If you want proper prices for chemicals, I would suggest going to skylighter.com

Case in point; United Nuclear wants $8.00 for 8 OUNCES of Charcoal powder.
skylighter.com has 5 POUNDS for $3.95(which is a higher quality than United Nuclear).

    Hope that helps!

Definitely not recommended unless under supervision of adults.
