Ha! These are incredible. When you don’t look right at them, they’re terrifying, but when you look close, they look kinda comfy.

I’m sure these would go over great in West Virginia.

@RonGiuntini – i’m not going to remove your comment but why say such a thing? what’s the benefit? these are clever pillows that someone made (before the latest tragedy on the news cycle) and associating with something else isn’t really productive, we all know there are horrific events that happen every single day and always will.

  4. RonGiuntini says:

I said what I did because I find these in very poor taste.

  5. philliptorrone says:

if you look at our halloween section, which this projects in sin, every single project is likely “in poor taste” — it depends on taster/tastee.

OK. Maybe you are right. However, in my line of work, news photographer, I see the real thing (and other gory things I need not describe) far too often. I guess I see this differently. We are not in Halloween season, are we? Sorry if I am not finding this one to my liking. Most things I see on Make are great.

    it’s all good.

my line of work is to write about crafts and projects that people are making. i look at this like a modern action film, or something like grindhouse (i just saw it) – it’s silly, it’s not real, it’s a pillow. it’s halloween season all year for people who work on costumes, at least that’s what i’ve seen.

i think it’s good that not every single project is liked by everyone, that would be boring :)

I get together with friends almost every other month to build/make Halloween stuff. Just because it isn’t October doesn’t mean it’s not a good time to build Halloween projects.

    Too Funny…

Are you as offended by looking at fake dog Poo after having stepped in some? Do pie throwing contests offend you after you have slaved all day making a lemon meringue?

    lighten up.

Or don’t visit this site till Halloween.

    :)

I took a picture of my husband and step-daughter after they both fell asleep while watching TV. I posted it on Flicker and made a comment that it looked like a crime scene. Smartypants linked me to this site joking that it would be a crime scene if they had these pillows. It gave me a laugh.
Everyone has different tastes, but I have to agree with the person that made the previous comment about the poo and pie.
    Lighten up.
