    Yes, you can use styrofoam beads as aggregate to bring the weight down. In fact, shredded styrofoam packaging would work just fine in this application. I have quite a bit of experience making lightweight concrete for the national concrete canoe competition. http://content.asce.org/conferences/nccc2009/
