Although the chrome-plated keys are, IMHO, a rather more questionable design choice, this stunning Wersi Digital DX500 organ and speaker set currently for sale just goes to support my pet theory that transparent-cased electronics, preferably of the colorless “water white” variety, have timeless aesthetic appeal. Update: Thanks to commenter Tomaradze for pointing out, by way of this post over at Retro Thing, that this organ was in fact manufactured in the late 1980s, not in the 70s as this post’s original title claimed. Error proliferates quickly in the blogosphere, and I appreciate those of you who take the time to comment and keep me honest when it comes to fact-checking.

But seriously, this is very cool. I notice they require a sign-in to see the price, so I assume it’s a case of “if you have to ask…” The concept is certainly suitable for a re-make, though.
