March 14 is known around the world as Pi Day, due to the date’s numerical similarity to pi, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. It has also come to be a day to celebrate the baked good of the same name, albeit different spelling: pie. So today, I gathered together 10 delicious-looking pie recipes to share with you. Do you have a favorite pie recipe? Share it in the comments!
10 Delicious Pie Recipes:
Lemon meringue pie — aaah, a classic. And this one looks perfectly cooked, with the meringue browned just the right amount.
Conversation Hearts pie — this is not just a sweet decoration. The hearts are actually partially melted in the filling.
Apple pie — there are actually three recipes on the end of this link: traditional, Dutch, and French-style apple tart.
Pie pops — a fun to-go version of your favorite pie. They’d make great party favors!
Rhubarb hand pies — Another to-go version of a pie, perfect for a picnic. (And rhubarb pie is amazing!)
Sour cream apple pie — Okay, so I already shared apple pie. But this one is different, and the photo makes my mouth water.
White peach and basil hand pies — I love unusual flavor combos. This sounds like it could be amazing, as long as the basil doesn’t overpower.

That sour cream apple pie looks delicious! I made a blackberry crumble pie for Pi day and it is awesome! I am a sucker for blackberries but it would be great with other fruit like raspberries or rhubarb… even peaches.

unfortunately , march 14 is known as 14-3 in the biggest part of the world, and has nothing to do with any pi

While it’s true that much of the world uses the date format [day/month/year] rather than [month/day/year], there is no 14th month, so I think even in those [day/month/year] places, some take the opportunity to celebrate pi. Using Google Translate, I find evidence that Pi Day is acknowledged in many countries around the world. But it is worth noting that the 14th of March is not referred to as 3/14 the world around.
