Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt

Hope Valley is phenomenal designer Denyse Schmidt's third quilting cotton collection for Free Spirit, and she has outdone herself this time! Like Flea Market Fancy and Katie Jump Rope, Hope Valley combines gorgeous vintage-feel florals and geometrics with a very fresh sensibility and color palette, and the fabric’s drape and hand is lovely. I have used several of the prints in two very different quilts and loved the results – the collection harmonizes with solids and patterns alike.

I also sewed an Easter dress for my daughter with my favorite print in the Fiesta colorway, and loved how it turned out. It sewed beautifully and held up to a lively toddler's full-day wearing.
