BIGNIK: A Participatory Art Project With A Massive Picnic Blanket

Bignik-01

If you’re a big picnic fan, then this recent work by twin brother artist duo Frank and Patrik Riklin, called BIGNIK, might be right up your meadow. The participatory project consists of a massive picnic blanket made from upcycled fabric collected from the local residents and then holding a community picnic on the blanket. The most recent BIGNIK event took place in Stein, Switzerland, on a blanket measuring about 160,000 square feet!
