Along with 6 sheets of Shrinky Dink plastic, this spiral-bound book is filled with traceable color templates with directions and inspirational photos on how to create necklaces, charm bracelets, earrings, zipper pulls, pins, frames and more. It’s a versatile book that can be used over and over again with extra shrink plastic or for other craft projects as well. Book Giveaway Time! Three lucky CRAFT readers will each receive a copy of The Shrinky Dinks Book along with Shrinky Dinks – Extra Shrinkable Plastic refills! I still have Shrinky Dink Christmas ornaments on my tree from the first time these came around! I would LOVE to add to the collection!
Shrinkies! I will make a strawberry bracelet :)
I’ve been looking to take a nostalgic trip back to my childhood and reclaim shrinky dinks as a grown-up medium. Thanks for the inspiration (the book would be awesome, but regardless, a trip to the craft store for shrinky dink material is on my agenda!).
Shrinky Dinks are fun to work with.
Awesome! I would love to do these with my niece.
I never got to do Shrinky Dinks as a kid. Now I’d like to try them out. I’d like to make some tags for my knitting equiqment. I’ll have to look for this book.
I looooove shrinky dinks, and with christmas coming it would be so handy to have this book.
I remember when my mom let me do Shinky Dinks for the first (and last time) when I was young. I thought they were the coolest thing ever, but once the plastic was done, it was done, and I never really repeated the process.
But, it looks like my own daughter might not have this problem. Getting this in my crafting library may make many a rainy day go by much faster!
Oh my wow. I love Shrinky Dinks!
(my email is susan.zed@gmail.com)
I don’t know who would love this more, me or my daughter! Looks like a great book!
My inner child would love this book!
Oh my gosh! I used to love shrinky dinks as kid! I can’t believe I haven’t yet introduced them to my kiddies.
Shrinky Dinks are amazing! I didn’t discover them until my college days. I want to pass on the creative fun to my daughter :)
My daughter and I would ADORE working on these! Great news on the 25% off this month too — Klutz has so many great titles, and so many are great for kids-at-heart like me! Thanks Craftzine!

Absolutely loved ShrinkyDinks as a kid… certainly hope they make a big comeback!
I remember making Shrinky Dinks in Girl Scouts. The were so much fun. I was fascinated by them. I still have the little pin we made ^_^
awesome
shrinky dinks!
I swear my heart skipped beat when I saw this post. I loved shrinky dinks when I was a kid but never really was allowed to have them (weird hey). One of the things I love about the whole fashion cycle thing is all the stuff I loved when I was a kid is now coming back in time for my own kids to share the love.
My kids would have so much fun with this! Who am I kidding — so would I!
I loved my Garfield Shrinky Dinks sooo much back then. What a cool craft to be able to share with my nieces today! :o)
My five-year-old daughter would adore them. Her mother, who is in her mid-30s, still talks about doing Shrinky-Dinks as a child, and would also get a charge out of them.

Wow, I’ve got to have this book. I remember how much fun those Shrinky Dinks were, and I own nearly every other Klutz book in existence. Thanks so much for the chance to win a copy… but if I don’t, I’ll be at the bookstore shopping for it soon!
ooh, we love to do shrinky dinks but most of them sit in a container afterwards. We could use some new ideas for creative projects to make with them!
My son and I love making shrinky dinks. This book would be fantastic!
Sounds like Fun!
I love shrinky dinks, but usually just glue them onto magnets… and I’m running out of room on the fridge.
Ah the hours I spent shrinking the dinks. Awesome
Shrinky dinks are my favorite.
I make shrinky dink jewelry for my etsy shop! This book makes me so incredibly happy I could just sing for joy. Love the bracelet! I shall have to start making those.

The magic of melting plastic just makes me wax nostalgic for the days of my youth…
This sounds so neat!! My kiddos and I would love it…thanks for the chance:)

This would be a great x-mas gift for my 8 year old sister… But only if she’ll let me play too!
Oh, I do so hope you pick me! I love all the fun things to make, and they’re called Dinks! How silly!
I would love to do this as a craft project with my niece and nephew. We would have so much fun doing one of my childhood classics.
Oh how I miss Shrinky dinks! I remember having a Garfield set and loved them!
I want to make Shrinky dink jewelry. Klutz has a second book that us just teen/ grown up shrinkydink jewelry. I want it!
I love shrinky dinks, and just started experimenting with them again. I had forgotten how much fun they are! What is even more fun is that they are also a science lesson too! P.S. I had Smurfs, Pee Wee Herman, and Betty Boop sets as a kid, when they still sold them that way.
my kids would love this book! me, too!
Me! me, please!
I’ve been doing Shrinky Dinks with my Girl Scouts for years- would love to have some new ideas rather than the SWAPS we’ve been doing for years.

This would be a great craft to do with my 4 year old daughter!
My daughters will certainly torture me to craft with them if I win this book. Bring on the fun.
My kids would love this so much! I wish we had it right now, we’re all home with the flu.
The first piece of jewelry I ever made (and still have) used Sharpies, Shrinky Dinks and magnetic wire. I could have some fun with the nieces and this book…
This sounds like lots of fun!
Very cute! My son would love to do these.
I love shrinky dinks! :) I’ve been using them to create tags for my knitting.

Oh, that brings me back to childhood. I remember doing this when I was younger, but not as nice looking as the ones featured in this book. I hope I will get a chance to win it.
I loved shrinky dinks as a kid. I think my son would love them too!
oooh Yes I was totally telling some one about Shrinky Dinks last week!
Would love to play with them again
This is SO KEWL!!! If I win, I will have total control over the shrinky-dinks, which has kinda been a life-long dream of mine; no brothers or sisters leaning over and scribbling on MY design or getting the last piece of plastic because they wrecked their first one and cried (wow- maybe I need a side of therapy with the shrinky-dinks…)
Yhanks for the opportunity to win this book, I would love to share the ‘magic’ of shrinky dinks with my daughter!
Neat-o ideas! I do shrinky dinks w/ my arts & crafts classes using recycled clear food containers (#6 polystyrene)

I haven’t used shrinky dinks since I was kid. I actually saw someone make some stitch markers from shrinky dinks, so cute. I think this would be something fun to try with the kid.
I like to think I’m crafty, or at least I dabble in a number of media and project types, but have to say that Shrinky Dink is so easy and yes, versitile to use. Lately I’ve been doing magnets and cell phone charms.
On the whole, definitely a favourite material!

Shrinky Dinks ROCK!!! So many possibilities!
I have fond memories of making shrinky dinks with my sisters when we were much younger. I suppose we also felt special because Mum would let us use her oven! Such magic!
This is something that I’ve been thinking about adding to my jewelry (in my own way) for awhile, so I would love a copy of this book! I never did shrinky dink stuff as a kid, so I’m one of the few that needs to learn, plus it would be something that my son could help me with!
shelley.mcelhiney@gmail.com
I am so happy that this book has been published! I have all of Sherri Haab’s books, and even though I am 55 years young, I still love Klutz’ books! I truly believe that as long as one knows how to play and be creative, youth is eternal! My future grandchildren are so lucky! I would love to win this book, but even if I don’t, I will buy it.
How cool – I’ve been thinking about shrinky-dink jewelry possibilities lately. Something like this could be just the spark of inspiration I need!
What an awesome book!
I have wanted these for sooo long but my mom would never let me have them because they had to go in the oven.
I got my own oven now. hahaha
I remember Shrinky Dinks. In fact, I think I may still have some of the original designs that came with the plastic. It’s still a great medium for creating with.
