Easy Decor Update: Stenciled Throw Pillow

Does your living room need a quick pick me up? There’s nothing like a bright throw pillow to spice up a room’s ambiance. If you are looking for an easy sewing project, you can whip up your own pillow case on a sewing machine. Or if you want to complete your project a little faster, you can buy a pre-sewn cover like the one included in the stenciling kit used to make this project.

Stencils can be bought ready made, but I think it’s more fun to create your own! This is a perfect opportunity to bust out the Silhouette cutter and some freezer paper or plastic stencil sheets to create your own template.

What a smart way to bring a trendy pattern into your decorating scheme without needing to hunt down the perfect fabric– added bonus, no left over fabric scraps to deal with!
