The Scientific Seamstress, AKA Carla, shows us how to make a large circular pattern with this tutorial and PDF. I’m definitely going to try this. As Carla states in her post, when she needed a circle for a project, she was often limited by the biggest circle pan she had in the kitchen – a pizza pan! I know just how she feels – thanks for the how-to, Carla!

The math teacher in me doesn’t mean to be snarky, I promise!! The same effect can be achieved by quartering the fabric, wrapping a string around a pen(cil), holding the string at the corner point, holding taught, and sweeping an arc like you might have a compass back in the day.
Carry on!!
