This might just be my weekend cooking project! Jessica at Childerhouse shares a very detailed and easy-to-follow process for making yogurt with a heating pad and an insulated cooler. It’s so much easier than I thought, and I love the idea of being able to control how much sweetener goes into it.

I’d never thought of using a heating pad + cooler–ingenious! I usually leave my yogurt in the oven with the pilot light on for 8-10 hours (overnight or while I’m at work). It still comes out mild, and a little thicker.
There’s no need to discard the whey. I use it in breakfast smoothies.
