How-To: Modern Black Cat Quilt

This simple and modern cat quilt from Merrilee of mer meg initially caught my eye because my daughter is a huge cat fanatic and I thought it might be a good project to tackle for her. I loved Merrilee’s story behind the quilt even more, though, and enjoyed reading about her process and how her whole family loved watching the quilt come together. She sums up the beauty of quilts quite nicely:
