    OMG! Boy, this takes me back- my Mom and I made these when I was a kid for Xmas decorations. I think it was 1973 or so, the only diff is that at the time, everyone who made these would spray paint them gold or green or whatnot. Reader’s Digests work well, and so do Nat’l Geos- basically, anything with a “perfect bound” spine, like an old WIRED or a Martha Stewart mag works.
