I sit on a yoga ball all day every day in my studio, yet somehow it never occurred to me to make it the target of a DIY project. Luckily, Australia-based company Page Thirty Three was way ahead of me with their gorgeous knitted yoga ball covers.
Pretty neat, right? I don’t know about you, but a granny square yoga ball cover would definitely make my studio a little more cozy!
Edited: As a reader kindly pointed out—and I forgot to include in the original post—though the company lists these covers as knitted, several of them look like they’re actually crocheted. I spy some serious hook action in both the granny square and bobble stitch covers!

The biggest problem I have with this is that every single cover on the site is actually crocheted not knitted…… Crochet gets no respect.
You’re totally right (I’m a crocheter first and a knitter second). I knew the granny square cover was crocheted, and the bobble stitch one too, but the chevron patterns look knitted to me. I definitely should have said both knitted and crocheted! -Haley on CRAFT
Uhm…the Chevron ones are crocheted too !
Are your instructions somewhere on this page to make the knitted/crochet yoga balls? I don’t see anything. Since I’m not a knitter/crochet-er, I image I could fold a throw around a yoga ball and stitch the ends together, which looks much like the pics on pagethirtythree website. They describe it exactly as that, a regular inflated exercise ball w/a throw or rug covering it.
I was interested in trying this but can’t find the yoga ball link.
Can’t find these anywhere and they’re not in the link locations
Hi Anastasia, I used the Wayback Machine to find this page: https://web.archive.org/web/20130127114558/http://pagethirtythree.com/collection/knitted-yoga-ball/
It appears that there are no DIY instructions, but rather that they were for sale.
