Much like the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England were memorialized in embroidery by the Bayeux Tapestry, artist Melissa Sixma has commemorated several important moments in the history of the internetz with this exquisite series of needlework pieces. Employing various needlework methods, including both hand and machine embroidery techniques, Sixma depicts internet famous images as elegant works of art, which she then scans and digitally manipulates, putting them back into the digital realm from which they came.
