Infamous yarnbomber Olek brought her crocheted mischief to the high seas to make a vivid statement about the global decline of shark populations. The project took place off the coast of a tiny island in Mexico at Museo Subacuatico de Arte, an underwater museum dedicated to environmental conservation. Olek yarn bombed some of the museum’s underwater sculptures, as well as some divers, using biodegradable yarns to create her trademark crochet patterns. Then she collaborated with marine life conservation organization Pangea Seed to document the project in an amazing photo series.
