One of the projects in the new issue of MAKE (Volume 26, on sale April 26th) is on how to create your own Spirulina tank. Spirulina is an edible algae that’s well-known for its health benefits. The project in MAKE teaches you how to make a home algae tank you can build in just a couple of hours after a trip to the aquarium store.
And once you’re growing your own spirulina (or decide to buy some algae powder), you’ll need a yummy way to eat it. So we introduce The Lean & Green Smoothie. Try the recipe, you’ll like it, green hue and all. And then let us know what you think, plus share your own recipes in the Comments. Bon appetit!
