Stitching a Glovetopus

At Maker Faire Bay Area this year, I spent a few hours in front of the roaming camera, meeting some of the awesome makers that were there. In this clip, I’m interviewing Peter Gardner, who hosted a hands-on activity where makers could create their very own Glovetopus: part glove, part octopus. He raised funds for the activity, which was free for Fairegoers, by running a Kickstarter.

In the video, Peter describes the anatomy of a stuffed octopus made from a pair of knit gloves and explains how he came to make one in the first place. “I had a pair of gloves, and I’m like, ‘I know I can do this,’ so I played around with it for a little while.”
