Shauna Richardson crochets beautifully crafted sculptures of animals that she calls “crochetdermy.”

She uses crochet to sculpt realistic life-size animals – uncanny taxidermy-like forms. Crochetdermy combines themes such as objects, collecting, craft and realism and experiments with accessibility and audience.

Her work is currently in the exhibition, “The Power of Making” at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

I have a phobia of taxidermied animals( I was knocked down by a deer head that fell off a wall), but these creations she has made don’t scare me and are AMAZING!
