I love a sale as much as the next knitter, but please be aware that Vogue’s policy toward paying designers for online pattern sales is terribly unfair.
They offer 10% of net, which is next to nothing, and they keep 90%. There’s no way this could remotely be perceived as fair, and I’d love to see Craftzine cover this from the perspective of the designers.
Interweave offered a similar amount last year, but after negotiations between designers and IK the figure now ranges between 20% – 50%, which is much more fair. Vogue could do this, too, but up to now has refused to consider raising this tiny percentage for the designers.

10%, why would any designer work for them??? I’m sorry but I’ve been watching Vogue since HS in the 60s and they’ve never struck me as big on sharing their spotlight.

My thought – turn their light off, stop reading their knitting mag. and go to other online pattern purveyors. Craftsy, Kindle, Ravelry, to name just a few.
