LifeTrac: Assemble Frame

Assembling the LifeTrac Frame.

Steps

Step #1:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Allocate bolts.
  • Lay out bolts on assembly table.
  • On each bolt:
  • Attach 2 washers.
  • Loosely attach nuts.

Step #2:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Lower Frame Assembly
  • Place blocks on ground in assembly area.

Step #3:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Place Lower Frame pieces (front-to-back) on blocks.

Step #4:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Align holes.

Step #5:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Bolt Lower Frame together.
  • Level the Lower Frame with level.
  • Adjust blocks.

Step #6:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Mount Vertical Frame pieces to Lower Frame inner corners.
  • Tighten loosely. Leave room for play.

Step #7:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Mount Upper Crossbrace Frame pieces.

Step #8:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Mount Upper Front-Back Frame pieces.

Step #9:

NextLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble FrameLifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Tighten all frame bolts extra-tight.

Step #10:

LifeTrac: Assemble Frame
  • Finished!

I'll be the first to admit I haven't maintained these saws very well. Mea Culpa. But here's the take away: the longer one is a rip saw. Use it to cut along the grain. The shorter one is a cross-cut saw. Use it to cut across the grain.
