Long Live Art

This July, Fossil launches “Long Live Art,” a collaborative project designed to celebrate and preserve its favorite vintage art forms. To support this platform, the brand has partnered with four artists specializing in various handicraft techniques of the past, including letterpress, collage, ceramics, and relief printing. Dolan Geiman, a featured mixed-media artist who uses vintage and recycled materials to create his work, will be installing a custom window display at the Fossil store on 5th Avenue on July 31, 2010. From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., shoppers will receive a complimentary postcard featuring Geiman’s work and have the opportunity to meet the artist. Visitors who spend $125 at the store will also receive a custom screen-printed panel painting made by Geiman during the event.

The event supports Fossil’s fall fashion lifestyle campaign Long Live Vintage. The brand’s latest vintage-inspired product assortment will be available at this time, including the Vintage Re-Issue women’s handbag collection and ceramic watch collection.

To learn more about “Long Live Art” and meet the featured talent, visit fossil.com/art. Visitors to the site can also enter for a chance to win one of Geiman’s full-size recycled works and a vintage-inspired Fossil product prize package. Contest runs July 20-August 31, 2010.
