Habana Outpost May 26 Celebrates African Liberation Day

Habana outpost is celebrating African Liberation Day, our event line up kicks off with our
Artists Market featuring homegrown vendors selling their handcrafted wares. The Habana gear store will feature handmade fair-trade crafts from Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.
Photo Exhibition Back To My Roots by Stanley Lumax Jr.: A photography exhibition celebrating the spirit of the people of Ghana. Opening reception May 22 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
Fashion Show Fundraiser featuring the collaborative efforts of four hot Brooklyn t-shirt designers: Rockersnyc, Coup d'etat Brooklyn, 64 Village and, Concep. All the t-shirts are “recycled” and all proceeds go to funding Raggamuffin an eco-summer camp in Jamaica.
The Kids Corner will be hosting a special workshop teaching children how to make African Drums, and rain stick tube project out of recycled materials.
